The Answer

Deuteronomy 17:14 (KJV) “When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me…”

So many of us are searching for the answer to the complex problems by which confront us daily. The void left from our endless search and departure of people who cannot understand can be overwhelming. Herein lies the problem: we are looking to others to provide the answer which can only be provided by One…and that is Jesus the Christ of God.

As believers, our first course of action when faced with a situation should be to turn to our Heavenly Father for His Divine assistance. However, we have become so inundated with the multiple outlets of external help from others claiming to have the answer to our problem(s). We, later, discover that soliciting help from a source other than God is not very beneficial to our plight.

Gaining An Understanding

As God’s peculiar people, we must realize that everything we have need of we can find in Him. Over time, after we turn our eyes from Him and begin to look at others around us, we will begin to believe that “the grass is greener on the other side.” We will begin to believe that we are missing out on “something better than” the blessings we already possess. At some point, we will become faced with a decision that will determine the course for the rest of our lives.

God has created each of us with the free will to make a conscious and informed decision to live exclusively for Him and to allow Him to reign as King in our lives as we do. Having us search deep within, let us make sure that we make the right decision.
