Joshua 1:2 (KJV) Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all these people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
What will you do? As we prepare ourselves to enter the Promised Land, we must engage in one more exercise of faith: the putting aside of anything within our lives that will hinder us or cause us to turn away from serving God wholeheartedly. What will you do? Over the past countless months, we have prepared by engaging in an intensive of the commandments of the Lord. We have taken our time to glean as much from the commandments as we possibly could at the present moment. Now is the time to apply all of which we have learned. What will you do?
I firmly believe that God is getting ready to take us into a new area of our lives. So, we have to remain focused upon Him in order to enjoy it completely. God has to be the Preeminent One in our lives. He has to take precedence above all others. God is the One Who is going over before us and will fight our every battle (Deut. 31:3).
The Word of the Lord to us this day is…
“Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee…” (Deut. 31:6).
To activate this covenant, we must be willing to give up everything that prevents us from serving God and placing Him at the forefront of our lives. I am willing to do this…are you? What will you do?
