Remember The Time

Psalms 78:4 (KJV) We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and His wonderful works that he hath done.

How do we make known the wonderful works of the Lord to our children if we do not remember them? We often forget the things He’s done until we fall into another critical situation and need Him again. In this passage of Scripture, the Psalmist is telling us that we should rehearse the mighty acts of God within the home and in the hearing of our posterity to ensure that a spiritual legacy is continued within our family throughout the generations. We do not want our children to follow in our footsteps unless we can honestly say that we have been faithful to keep God’s commandments wholeheartedly. This is why we are admonished to meditate upon the law of the Lord both day and night. This causes the Word of God to become so intertwined within our spirit man that it becomes who we are and should be…the living Word.
