Matthew 9:37-38 (KJV) Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; 38 Pray ye, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.
Father, as we come to You today in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we thank You for Your goodness, mercy, and love. Father, as we look at what is taking place within the world around us, it is easy to say, “Come, Lord Jesus!” Father, it is so easy to become caught up in our own situation that we forget about others. Father, it is also easy to forget that there is a multitude of people who have never even heard about You or the good news of the Gospel. We take our liberty through Christ for granted and forget that such were all of us at one point in time. Instead of praying that the Lord Jesus would return soon (although it is our desire), we pray that You would raise a remnant of people who are willing to go forth to mightily proclaim the Gospel of Your Kingdom to those who are still lost and in need of a Savior. We pray that You would raise a generation that understands Your heart and know that You are not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to a saving knowledge of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Prepare our hearts, Father. Use us, Father. Send us, Father. For the harvest is ripe, Father, but the laborers are few. Give us the green light to go forth into the fields to prepare the harvest for You. Strengthen us in the face of adversity and empower us to speak boldly in Your name and for Your glory. Father, we thank You in advance for all of the souls that will respond to Your love, mercy, and grace today. Father, we thank You in advance for all that will receive Your Son, Jesus, into their lives today. Father, we thank You for sealing them in Your love with Your precious Holy Spirit today. But more importantly, Thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory, forever, in Jesus’ name…AMEN!!!
